The terrace is the standout, waking up to a sea view was exceptional. The apartment is clean and has what you need, including dishes and linens, and it’s a nice option if you want to stay in central Ortigia without spending a lot. It is spread across three levels, which I found a bit inconvenient. My main issues were the bathroom: the shower is shallow and uncomfortable, and I really dislike the curtain. I’d also suggest adding a water tank, since Ortigia often has shortages. We had to deal with that three times during our seven days.

We found the host unfriendly and unhelpful, and communication was difficult since it was only in Italian and through Google Maps. The place is also subject to the ZTL schedule, so access isn’t allowed at all times. Upstairs there’s a double bed measuring 1.05m, while the shower is downstairs, two floors away. The staircase is steep, poor, and unstable. The lower level feels like a cellar, with a very low ceiling, uncomfortable single beds, and high humidity. For the price, the quality feels almost like a rip-off.

It’s very small and impractical for four people. Spread over three floors, and there’s little headroom on both the top and bottom levels.
