Breakfast was the standout for me, easily among the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had and perhaps in my personal top three. There was so much variety, and the quality and presentation were excellent. We also really enjoyed the restaurant’s food and wines in its relaxed atmosphere. Borgo Pantano has a gorgeous pool surrounded by an orchard-style garden, with lovely quiet corners. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the owner makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. It’s in the countryside, but only a short drive from Syracuse and Ortigia. The hosts also put together a guide with tips for your day out. A memorable stay, five stars without hesitation.

We were there for five nights before Easter 2026, travelling as a family of four with a six-year-old and a ten-month-old. The weather wasn’t great, but we still had a wonderful time. The surprise highlight was the nursery room, with lots of space and toys for children of different ages. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Siracusa or the surrounding parts of Sicily.

The outdoor space and fantastic pool were our favorite parts. It’s also conveniently located, about 15 minutes from Siracusa. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the whole place has a lovely feel. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

For a relaxing stop on your travels around Sicily, this is a lovely resort about 15 minutes outside Siracusa. The setting is stunning, with orange and lime trees across the grounds. The rooms are beautiful, and the restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Giusi was always around, chatting with guests and making sure they had what they needed. The staff were great, and the hotel was well managed, with beautifully kept grounds. My wife and I spent four nights here. The restaurant is fantastic, in a wonderful setting, and the hotel makes a great base for local sightseeing or simply relaxing by the pool.
