Casadeire

The location was excellent, and the property was modern, spotless, and very reasonably priced. My family and I had a great five-night stay in June. The proprietor met us right on schedule, helped with our luggage to and from the elevator, and showed us to secure parking, a five-minute walk from the hotel. There are five private en-suite rooms, with a good-sized shared breakfast area. Fresh rolls, pastries, juice, meat, and cheeses were laid out each morning, with more than enough for everyone. I highly recommend it.

I have mixed feelings. At first, the place looks nice, but we ran into a few problems during our stay: the shower drain was clogged, there were no bathroom blinds, so the neighbours could watch a free striptease show, and the windows did nothing to keep the noise out.

On our 2023 Sicily and Calabria vacation, we stayed in Ortygia, Siracusa. The building is nice and only a few minutes' walk from Piazza Archimede. Our room was clean and very nice, with a street view, and breakfast was good. The bathroom was just OK because the shower was small, though that seems common in Italy. You can stop in front of the building for 5-10 minutes to unload your luggage. Then it's about a 10-minute drive to Talete parking lot. Make sure you choose a visitor spot. There's a large area charging 1.5E/hour or 15Euro for 24hours. We had to go back every day to pay again, but it's just a 10-minute walk through the market, where you can get a local sandwich you'll remember.

The apartment and the people are very nice.
