4/10
The room rate felt high for what was provided, and the rules around the kitchenette were especially frustrating: although there’s a kitchen and everything needed to use it, doing so costs an extra €10 per day. Breakfast is at the bar across the street, where you get coffee or tea and one sweet or savory item. I also found the place very unclean and had to bring it up with reception. The owner didn’t seem very welcoming, and even spending one night left me feeling like a stranger. It was a tragicomic experience, truly disgraceful. I’d never put myself through that again. I wouldn’t call it a hotel or a B&B, just an inn.

We got there at 7:55 PM, five minutes before reception shut at 8. We paid for the room, but weren’t able to sleep in it.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and you can get there by car. Hospitality was excellent. The hotel sits between Ortigia and the Archaeological Park, about a 20-minute walk from either.

We stayed here for a concert at the Greek Theatre. The manager was very kind, and our room was clean and spacious. We’ll be back.

We found the location ideal for seeing the city on foot. Service was impeccable, and the room was perfect, with a kitchenette.
