The setting is fantastic: just a small road lies between the house and an idyllic pebble beach with crystal-clear water. Getting to Syracuse is convenient too. A parking garage at the edge of the city is about 12 to 15 minutes away, and from there it's an easy stroll into the old town. Inside, though, the apartment was in poor shape and the furnishings were lacking. The kitchen had just two water glasses and one espresso cup, almost no cutlery beyond a butter knife, and no usable cookware or cutting board. It also lacked basics like salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. Cooking or preparing food wasn't possible without furnishing the kitchen from scratch. The bathroom was troubling as well. The toilet bowl was loose, and the sink was crooked and seemed unstable. Cracks in the ceiling and lots of holes in the walls made the apartment feel badly in need of renovation. The beautiful location can't make up for the condition and inadequate equipment. With better upkeep and furnishings, this place could have a lot of potential.
