Sognando Ortigia

It was very clean and had free Wi-Fi, and the location couldn't have been better. The bathroom was private but separate from the room. For the price, it was a great place, and I'd come back.

The room itself was spotless, and the central location and reasonable price were good points. But it was extremely noisy, with no windows to keep the sound out, plus people shouting every morning at 5 a.m. The glass was recycled. The bathroom was far from the room and looked awful, with cockroaches and strands of hair. They moved us to another one that was a little more acceptable, though very small, and its small shower kept clogging. Both hair dryers were broken, and the room doors were run-down with locks we couldn't rely on. We gave up and found a nearby hotel of a higher standard for only a slightly higher price. Avoid this place.

At €90, this was a nightmare. The bathroom was awful, rusty, dirty, and smelly, with no proper light, just a spotlight and a socket near the sink. With two children, that was especially concerning. The shower drain was packed with long, twisted hairs. Don't go there. I'll ask for a refund and report it.

Strongly not recommended. The rooms were dirty, with dust and grime under the beds, and the bathroom was shabby. The windows were filthy and the balcony looked like it might never have been cleaned. There was no service at all. When we called the owner to complain, they told us not to exaggerate. We were left speechless. Zero.
