Stomachion

We loved our stay in Syracuse. The owner was so kind and welcoming, greeting all four of us and our dog, and even setting out a dog bed. Breakfast was splendid, with lots of thoughtful little touches. The rooms were beautiful and the location was convenient. We could park for free right across the street.

Giusy made a huge difference to our holiday. When the fire at Catania Airport disrupted everything and left us confused, we eventually reached Siracusa very late and exhausted. She was there to comfort us and help, treating us like friends from the start. She stayed available in a thoughtful, discreet way. The breakfast became a highlight for my 12-year-old, too. The rooms at Stomachion were a cool, clean, quiet refuge in the 36-41°C summer heat. It worked well for a family with children, and the closest beach was an easy five-minute walk. Ortigia was so lovely that I would happily trade sunny beach time for exploring every corner of it. You can visit both Ortigia Island and Siracusa without a car or bus, and the train and bus station is about a 15-minute walk away. I struggle to find the right words for how much this generous host and fresh, peaceful place added to our trip. We want to return to Stomachion, and I'll recommend it and Giusy to my friends.

Giusy gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly kind. She served a delicious, generous breakfast, and the room was spotless, nicely cared for, and very pleasant. Ortigia is nearby, which makes the location another reason I'd recommend it.

Free parking right outside the entrance was handy, and the fridges had complimentary drinks. Breakfast was generous, too. The property is charming, carefully looked after, clean, and has all the comforts you need, including beach umbrellas and chairs. Giusy is passionate and professional, always available, and makes you feel at home when she welcomes you. We'd happily stay here again if we're back in the area, and highly recommend it. Piera
