Inside, the hotel was lovely: clean, comfortable rooms, kind staff with great restaurant tips, a good breakfast, and quiet nights. The building's exterior and the surrounding area were much less appealing. Walking half an hour to Ortigia got tiresome, especially while watching out for animal mess on the ground. That's not the hotel's fault, but the neighborhood is worth considering. It's handy for the archaeological museum and within walking distance of Neopolis, with the brutalist church of the tears right across the street. Its carillon sounds lovely in the morning. Keep the windows shut, though. Mosquitoes got in, and we killed about eight on the second night and around four each night after, since staff kept opening the bathroom window. The nearby Interbus stop made trips to and from the airport, and to Catania, fairly easy.
I spent one night here in February and couldn't fault the place. The rooms were spotless, the staff were very helpful, and breakfast was included at no extra cost. A great base for seeing Siracusa and the nearby area, and I'd happily recommend it.
Good value, with professional staff, comfortable beds, and an excellent breakfast. The hotel is near the archeology museum, about a 20-minute walk from Otigia, and also on a bus line.
Breakfast stood out for us. Along with coffee and sweets, there were savory pastries, yogurt, and juice, easily the best we had in Italy. The service was pleasant, and the location suited us well, near the archeological parks and a 20-minute walk from Ortigia. Free parking is 600m away.
The receptionist was so kind and welcoming, and took time to answer all our questions and suggest things to see. The price was reasonable and the location very good. The hotel is on the building's first floor, and parking is on the surrounding streets.
