Hotel Corte Regina

We had a comfortable stay, and I knew what to expect for myself and my family. The rooms were clean, the beds and sheets were comfortable, and the water pressure was good. It’s an old-world, charming hotel in a fantastic spot in the old part of town, if that’s where you want to be. Just keep in mind that the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so it may not suit you if you want round-the-clock service. Thanks for the stay!

Being right in the centre of Sirmione was the one great thing about this hotel. The place felt neglected and dated, with worn-looking furniture and walls. Cleanliness was unacceptable: there was dust everywhere, and cockroaches were crawling around a bathroom in terrible condition. I don’t think it deserves three stars or even meets basic standards for hygiene and comfort. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The pizza was tasty, good value, and a bit too big for me. Paying was awkward and stilted, though, and it put me off the whole experience. The man serving us was incredibly grumpy and made me feel uncomfortable, which isn’t easy to do, to be fair. That dragged down the service. As for recommending the place, I don’t have enough information to say.

The room was clean and good, and the hotel is in a nice spot. One issue is that there’s no front desk all day and night. I needed help at 10 am and had to speak to a camera. I’ve noticed more and more hotels in Italy doing away with round-the-clock reception, and I think that’s a bad thing.
