The shuttle is strict about timing: it won’t wait even five minutes, and if you miss it, including because your train is late, you have to wait a full hour for the next airport shuttle. The ride to the airport takes about 20 minutes, while Milan Central is about an hour by train. The front desk wasn’t always staffed, but most of the employees we met were nice and helpful. They arranged our shuttles and a taxi to the airport on our first night. Breakfast was disappointing. The potatoes, juice, and yogurt were the only things I thought were decent. The sausage tasted odd, and the fruit had a strange texture and smell. The cold cuts and cheese had been left out all morning, and the boiled eggs served on a bed of salt were baffling. I requested an extra pillow on both nights and never received one. As a hotel, it felt pretty standard for a DoubleTree. The lobby is very nice, and the rooms were clean, fine, and mostly spacious. Good lighting and plenty of mirrors were a plus. The restaurant offers a decent choice of dishes at reasonable prices, and room service was quick and easy.

My car was broken into while I was inside for no more than five minutes getting the QR code for the parking lot. I had parked right in front of the hotel with my car full of belongings because I was traveling alone. I’d taken my passport and bank cards inside, but the other valuable things were stolen. When I came back out, I saw what had happened and ran in to tell the staff. They said I should never leave a car unattended with things inside, and acted as though it was all my fault. I asked them to help call the police, but they made me wait a long time while they prioritized guests checking in. There were enough staff to handle both, but nobody helped. They seemed to treat this as something that happens often. I’ve worked in hotels my whole life, and I would never leave someone that upset without help. There was no empathy or compensation. I expected more from a Hilton hotel. It must have happened very quickly, so I think someone was already waiting in the parking lot for a chance to break into cars. The staff were very unhelpful. I had a really bad experience here. Do not go.

The reception team were friendly and helpful throughout, and the stay was great. The hotel is somewhat far from the city center, but a free shuttle runs to the airport every hour, which is very convenient. It’s also easy to take the train into Milan, about a 30-minute trip.

The staff welcomed us warmly and made us comfortable as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good range of choices, and I especially liked the fresh, delicious pastries. Free parking was a big plus, too. DoubleTree by Hilton Milan Malpensa is conveniently located for flying in or out of Malpensa Airport. It was a comfortable stay, and I’d happily return.

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and check-in was quick and friendly. The airport shuttle also made getting to Malpensa very easy. Staff were warm and helpful without hovering, and the on-site restaurant had a good breakfast spread. A pleasant, dependable option for flying through Milan Malpensa. I’d stay again and recommend it.
