Agriturismo Tenuta Le Sorgive

We came with a group of families and the kids, biked around Garda lake, and spent the evenings in the garden. It was a wonderful holiday, with peaceful surroundings, welcoming hosts, and their own craft beer. Thanks to Umberto and his family, we’d happily come back again and again.

The agriturismo makes a handy base for excursions, and the pool is pleasant when you don’t want to plan an outing. It’s heavily chlorinated, though, and children under 14 need an adult with them. Breakfast had great cakes but little else, so it wouldn’t suit every day of a longer stay. The farm has rabbits, goats, poultry, and two horses, but guests can’t interact with them. The riding stables are run elsewhere, and the one English riding lesson for our daughters wasn’t worth it. At 9 and 8, they were bored, with only Pingpong and foosball to do, and they didn’t find other children to play with among the mostly Italian and Dutch guests. We had apartment "Giulia". It looked lovely at first, but was dark and somewhat dirty, with a stained sofa too small for four, a bathroom needing renovation, and awful beds. They were short and narrow, perhaps 80x1.90 cm, with worn mattresses that squeaked. Two single beds had been pushed together, and my 2m-tall husband had to rest his feet on a chair. The apartment was equipped much like a mobile home: no dishcloth or washing-up liquid, very few dishes and glasses, and not even salt or pepper. The WiFi was practically unusable. We’d looked forward to our summer break, but the welcome on arrival at the lovely grounds of Le Sorgive was very cold. No one showed us around the farm or suggested activities, supermarkets, or restaurants apart from their own. We can’t understand the good reviews. We left disappointed and can’t recommend the Agriturismo, as there are much nicer choices in this beautiful region.

Mornings started with a delicious Italian-style breakfast, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, well equipped, and serviced every day. Great location too. Highly recommend!

The sauna was great, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Our room was nice, the bathroom was large, and there was a friendly dog wandering around. Breakfast was wonderful too.
