The smell of fresh bread baking when we arrived at night made the place feel like home. I also loved the personal touches in the bathroom, including intimate soap, which you don’t often find and which showed real care for guests. It felt like staying at a dear friend’s home, with cozy, characterful decor and a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. A lovely B&B that deserves its five stars. You can feel the care everywhere, and I’d love to come back!

The room, bathroom, and linens were clean, which was the only positive for us. The beds were narrow and the mattresses very uncomfortable. The stairs felt unsafe, and I fell on them and hurt my arm. We also couldn’t get answers to our questions about the hotel or our stay. A woman came to us but didn’t introduce herself, was very unfriendly, and showed no hospitality. Finding the place was difficult: there were no lights or welcome signs. Even with a reservation, nobody had asked when we’d arrive or was there to meet us. We had to open the gate without knowing if this was the hotel, then find the parking area and wait about ten minutes for someone to show us the room.

We spent a wonderful week here. Geraldine is charming, attentive to everyone, and great to talk with, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was plentiful and kept us going all morning, with a wide selection that included delicious homemade, natural jams she makes herself from different fruits. The huge, beautiful garden and quiet location on the edge of town made it perfect for relaxing, with only birds to hear. It’s also well placed for trips to the beautiful lakes of northern Italy or for exploring Milan. A really welcoming place and a lovely experience, highly recommended.
