B&B Sweet Home

The room was tiny for €75 a night. The bed had an old bedspread, which I took off straight away, the pillows were tiny, both armchairs were dirty, the shutters were peeling and wouldn't close, and the toilet seat was broken. To get hot water, we had to turn on other faucets. There were only two shower towels, one face towel, and one bidet towel, even though there were two of us. Breakfast was a tiny shelf in the room with an espresso machine, two hot Mulino Bianco croissants, and a plum cake. I called the property directly on Sunday, August 11, 2024. The owner confirmed a double room was available and asked me to pay for the two nights, August 14th and 15th, at €75 per night. I paid that Sunday. They told me over the phone that parking was conveniently available underneath the property, as everyone else does. Around 2:00 PM on August 14th, the day we were due to arrive, the owner called and said they'd found out two days earlier, on Monday, August 12th, that the usual mid-August procession would pass by the B&B and nearby roads would be closed for a couple of days for the village festival. When I asked why they hadn't told me sooner, she said she doesn't call guests two days in advance to let them know.

The owner was very friendly, and the room with its bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast was a pity, though. Because of COVID, we had to make coffee in the room with the coffee maker, and even though it was a top-brand machine, the coffee wasn't drinkable.

This is my second stay, and it still feels like a very welcoming place. The owner is such a lovely person, incredibly kind and helpful, and makes you feel completely at ease.

The breakfast was generous and the room comfortable and clean. The location is central, and parking is free.
