The food is the standout here: sophisticated dishes that are delicious enough to make me think the cuisine could earn a Michelin star. The facility is clean, and the staff are very helpful. If you're planning to ski in Canazei, the location isn't especially convenient, but the comfort more than makes up for that minor downside.

We stopped for lunch at the hotel bistro beside the lake during our Soraga vacation. It has a lush garden just a few steps from Soraga lake. The cured meat and cheese platter was excellent, with focaccia and several tasty breads. Our friends really enjoyed their first courses too. I couldn't resist the slice of Sacher torte I'd been eyeing in the little fridge all lunch. A very sweet ending. I'd be happy to visit again next time I'm in Val di Fassa.

I ended up staying here for a night by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Agnese at reception and Mariangela in the dining room were both kind and helpful. A small tip: get to dinner and breakfast ten minutes early, or the "locusts" may swarm and leave you with nothing. Just joking! It was my first stay at this hotel, and I doubt it'll be my last!!!
