The owner, Mr. Alessandro, was discreet, kind, and very helpful. We stayed in his lovely apartment in central Sorano, which was charmingly furnished, matched its online description, and had everything we needed. At night we slept with the windows open in an almost unreal silence. There are plenty of services close by, including shops, restaurants, bars, wine shops, and banks. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone planning a stay in these magical places.

The photos give a very different impression from being there. Although the place was built recently, it seemed poorly cared for and dirty throughout. The bed and bath linen, which we paid for separately, was disgusting.
