The house is spotless, welcoming, and well equipped, and the owner is helpful and kind. It’s a really peaceful area, with woods and different paths for easy walks. Larger cities like Florence, Pisa, Siena, and Rome are about two hours away. Historically interesting towns including Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, and the Saturnia spa are about half an hour to an hour away. I highly recommend exploring the other beautiful, characterful towns too. 😊😊

A handy base for visiting the area's natural attractions. The home is in a larger exposed-stone building with wooden floors and a big fireplace in the dining room, in keeping with local style. It has two levels: the bedroom, dining room, and bathroom are upstairs, while the mezzanine has another double bed and a small cabinet. The ceiling height up there varies, so you can't stand everywhere. The size works well for a couple.

It's a sweet little house, quiet thanks to its remote location, though it isn't very comfortable and has a few annoyances. For the price, though, it's more than adequate. The owner was kind and helpful. I don't think there's any transportation to get there, but I'd still love to stay again.

The house felt like grandma's place, with old rustic furniture. There are no radiators, just a wood stove and a fireplace stocked with wood. My husband and I lit the fire right away, but it still stayed a bit cold. The electric radiator in the bedroom wasn't enough, and the bathroom heater couldn't run at the same time because the power went out. The owner was kind, but the room never really warmed up. The kitchen has no dish drainer, so after washing up I didn't know where to leave the dishes. The mattress was too soft, and the toilet seat moves around. In my opinion, a few things need attention. 😓
