Podere Le Chiuse

We had a spacious apartment with kitchen equipment, and the traditional old furnishings suited the setting and the spirit of a Podere. The big, beautiful pool is a real treat in summer. It's a great place for a relaxed stay out in the Maremma countryside, far from everything and surrounded by nature. There's also a small village nearby with plenty of restaurants, bars and bistros where you can try local food.

It was so peaceful here, with greenery all around and nature as the only sound. The owners were kind but never intrusive, and the apartments were looked after down to the smallest detail. We had a lovely stay and will definitely come back.

We spent our days out in the quiet, cool Ruby apartment, and its huge pool made it easy to feel surrounded by nature. There’s no air conditioning, but the sturdy tuff walls may be why the place stayed comfortable and quiet all day. The apartment is very spacious, with an outdoor table shaded by two enormous walnut trees. Mosquito nets are fitted, though for those of us used to Paduan armies they might almost be unnecessary. The hosts are kind and discreet, and the character of this isolated setting grows on you. The farm is indeed completely secluded, yet both Sovana, the small, affluent village, and lively Pitigliano are close by. It sits right on the ancient cave road between them, among cave roads and Etruscan tombs. You should try it.
