The hostess was lovely and did her best, and it’s a beautiful place. But on a holiday when it was over 39 degrees, air conditioning would have been nice. There wasn’t any in the rooms. If that doesn’t put you off, go for it!

We wanted a relaxing holiday with our six-month-old son, and this place was just right. Set among greenery with a saltwater pool, it was a lovely way to spend 10 days. The house is a historic residence dating back to the 1700s, officially recognized as historical heritage, with paintings, frescoes and antique objects throughout. Maria Luisa and her children Marco, Andrea and Nicoletta were incredibly helpful. They advised us each day on places to visit nearby and restaurants serving well-made local dishes where we could eat without putting our little one through too much. They were always, always available, and even made restaurant and sightseeing reservations for us. They really looked after us. This little gem in Soriano nel Cimino was a completely unexpected surprise. We’d love to come back soon.

The garden pool is a lovely place to unwind, and the house itself feels like a step back in time, with beautifully decorated rooms. The hospitality was fantastic, and breakfast included typical local products. It’s also close to places like Bosco di Bomarzo, Viterbo, and Lake Vico. Highly recommended.

Maria Luisa was always ready with suggestions for where to go and where to eat, and she’s a real asset to the place. We had a memorable stay this summer in a beautiful, welcoming property where every detail has been thought through, right down to the saltwater pool. Breakfast was hard to beat, with high-quality local products.
