Colombo Residence

Beautiful place, will definitely be back.

Such a nice place.

Alfio and the host team were attentive and quick to respond, always available and focused on keeping guests happy. During our week, we came back after a day out to find bread and a jar of olives outside our accommodation, and on another day they left us a local specialty. Excellent value for money. The residence is very well located if you have a car. We could reach places around the lake within 1 to 1.25 hours at most, for example Sorico to Bellagio in 1.25 hours without a ferry. There’s underground parking, although it’s tricky with a large vehicle until you get the hang of it. We also had a pool, air conditioning, terrace, parasol, bed linen and towels, plus enough dishwasher tablets for one load each day. A definite highlight was Alfio's pizzeria, across the road about 20 meters from the residence. The pizzas were creative, full of flavor, and the best we’ve had so far. Prices were very reasonable whether eating in or taking away. We waited 15-20 minutes, just enough time to enjoy an aperitif at the residence. We later heard the pizzeria has received some kind of national culinary award every year since at least 2022, and it seems well deserved. My only drawback was the lack of an oven. The booking site description was accurate about that, though. We had an excellent stay at Alfio's! 👌👍

We had a clean, well equipped apartment in one of two large villas. Each apartment has its own entrance and its own terrace or balcony, depending on its location. Towels, a hairdryer, bedding, a fridge, dishes, a stove, and a microwave were all there, along with a large underground garage, a clean outdoor pool, and a jacuzzi. Guests can use the umbrellas and sun loungers by the pool. Nearby there are restaurants, Lake COMO, and marked mountain trails. I highly recommend the place, though I left wishing I could stay longer. The mountain and lake views were unforgettable, the small Italian mountain towns made a big impression on me, and I had a wonderful time with the friendly locals.
