The food here is made to make you smile, and the truffle and staple dishes are hard to miss. It feels like a warm hug, with no pressure to be challenged by the menu or impressed by clever ideas. The family runs the place with real passion, excellent ingredients, and serious skill. If you're visiting Michelin-starred restaurants in Piemonte, don't skip dinner here. I hope this kind of hospitality comes back into fashion, instead of all the maximalist menus and wine lists that leave you feeling so little.

Save some room for the wines, they were good, and the six-course meal came with five of them. We arrived at 1:00 PM and Angelo Velazza himself, the husband, seated us. The Changnpen was a nice first drink, though I wouldn't finish it all. The bread at the start was good too, but there was so much of it that I couldn't manage it all. The food was good.
