Hotel Antiche Mura

The staff at Hotel Antiche Mura paid great attention to detail and even arranged private transport to the Naples train station. They upgraded my room, which was beautiful, with a balcony looking over lemon and orange trees. The property itself is lovely, and breakfast was a highlight with a good variety of options. It’s right in the heart of Sorrento, so shopping, restaurants and amenities are an easy walk away. I spent one night there and would gladly have stayed longer if my schedule allowed. I’d recommend it to friends and hope I can return someday.

The hotel has a great Amalfi Coast feel, and the pool area among all those gorgeous lemon trees gives it a boutique-hotel vibe. Its position at the start of the old town makes it easy to get around on foot, and the hotel and main town are fairly flat, which is great for accessibility. The rooms are good, too. Breakfast was just okay for me, and I’d like to see more vegetarian choices.

Tucked away from the busy streets, the hotel was peaceful but still close to local eateries, shops and attractions. We loved the Italian style and the location. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool is small, but it’s a lovely spot with plenty of seating and beautiful lemon trees. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, and the staff can provide gluten-free alternatives. Our friends, who were staying elsewhere, stopped by and were very jealous. We’d highly recommend it.

Our room was spotless, and the bathroom had a really good shower. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choices for different tastes, and we also enjoyed the private pool and relaxing garden setting. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station and very close to Sorrento’s main square. I couldn’t fault our stay. If I return to Sorrento, this is where I’ll stay.
