Rossella sent clear directions on WhatsApp when we had trouble finding the place at first, and helped with advice and any concerns during our stay. We were glad we chose Antico Palazzo Scala as a base for exploring Naples, Pompeii/Herculaneum and the Amalfi coast. It was comfortable, cute and practical for our family with three young adult children, though there was a lack of walls. The lift helped my husband with mobility limitations, but the spiral stairs to the bedrooms meant he planned his way out each day. He managed fine, and the fifth bed was on the entry level as an alternative if the stairs became too much. We’d absolutely stay again.

It was a great family stay, with a kitchen, separate rooms and comfortable beds. We had a balcony with a view, and the place was very clean, a breath of fresh air after hotels. Everything is central, though the side streets made it hard to find on arrival. The welcome was friendly, and the building felt secure, with a safe.

We stayed in apartment 6 on the third floor, and its large outdoor terrace was ideal. The main restaurants are close by, and there’s a lovely restaurant right outside the entrance. The supermarket is about a five-minute walk away. Great place to stay.

Apartment 4 on the second floor was quiet and cozy. It’s all on one level, with two bedrooms, a kitchen that steps out to a cute balcony, and a living room area.

Rosela at the desk was very helpful, and the apartment was clean in a great, very central spot in the Old Town. The lounge was big and airy, with a balcony. The place seems to have been renovated around 25 years ago and is kept in good condition, so don’t expect the latest. We had a one-bedroom apartment, but the bed was up a spiral staircase. Our travel agent hadn’t mentioned that, and it could be a big problem. The kitchen felt very dark because its only light came from the hallway. The hot water system was a bit strange, and an electrician had to be called. There was no washing machine in the apartment or building, and I really think there should be one. It was a good stay, but after five days I was ready to move on.
