B&B Da Chiara Sea Sight

Fabrizia made us feel very welcome. Our big room had air conditioning, a roomy shower, and a bathtub, and there was a separate little room with a sofa. We had lots of privacy and comfort, and breakfast was prepared with care. The view is amazing. There’s no fridge in the room. Getting there on foot was the difficult part for us, since we were backpacking and didn’t have a car. Don’t follow Google Maps through the walking path, take the main road instead. The path is scary and the hill is really steep. A bus with limited service passes in front of the house, and you just need to wave it down. It goes to the train station, but the last bus back up leaves around 6 pm.

Breakfast on the second floor balcony was a highlight: there’s a huge table with views over Sorrento and the sea, and the host put together an impressive spread. The espresso from the traditional Bialetti pot was the best. It made us want to stay on that balcony all day. The listing photos don’t do the place justice. It’s almost on the first floor of a big, modern, gated house on a hill. We had two separate bedrooms for three people, with high end furnishings, a modern bathroom, and a very clean space. The host let us park inside the locked gate, and there’s a great restaurant within walking distance, though it’s up a hill. Driving from Sorrento was easy. Coming from Positano, Google Maps sent us onto an extremely steep, difficult route, especially at night. We only stayed one night, which was too short. Thanks for hosting us, we’d stay again.

We were three girls and booked two nights at this lovely B&B through booking. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was huge. Breakfast was plentiful, with fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee, and more, served with a postcard-worthy view. The lady welcomed us so warmly and was always available. She even kindly came to pick us up at the port. We’ll happily come back soon. There’s a restaurant nearby with panoramic views and good prices, reachable on foot. The minibus takes less than 10 minutes to reach the center. There’s also a nice downhill walk, but if you’re not sporty you can drive down and park at the municipal lot for 2 euros an hour. It’s well connected, and we’d return very soon.
