Casa Astarita

The location in the historic center was so handy, in a pedestrian only area but just a couple of minutes from the train station. Our room was warm at the end of December, even though it was chilly outside. The old building seemed well insulated, and the double glazed windows kept out noise despite looking onto the busy main street with all its restaurants and tourists. We had a wonderful couple of days here. The staff were kind, helpful, and easy to reach on WhatsApp. The room and property were lovely, and breakfast was great, especially the filled croissants and pastries.

We were right in the heart of downtown Sorrento, and I'd recommend taking a cab into town if you're arriving from the Poet side. The rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was very good, and the place felt safe, with passcode access and individual room keys. I left my expensive sunglasses behind, but the owners found them and sent them to me in Switzerland. That was incredibly kind. I'm very happy I stayed here and would recommend this B&B.

We were close to lots of good places to eat, and our tours and excursions were only about 10 minutes away. The staff were welcoming and kind, and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was a lovely way to start the morning. This was our nicest stay in Italy, highly recommend.

The location is a strong point, and the B&B feels well cared for rather than worn down. It's on the second floor with no elevator, so it isn't accessible for people with disabilities. The building is old, and the rooms are small to medium, with the shapes you'd expect, but we didn't feel cramped. There's a wood carving vendor at the entrance on the first floor, which you can just ignore.
