Months before the reservation, I checked whether we could leave our luggage before the 4 pm check-in. I was arriving at 8 am, and they said we could leave it at another hotel, a 15-minute walk from the train station. When we got there, that hotel was closed for remodeling. We walked around Sorrento's center with our suitcases, looking for somewhere to pay to store them, while the accommodation didn't answer our messages. If they'd told us they couldn't store our bags, we would have changed our itinerary and arrived in the afternoon instead of paying extra to leave them somewhere. After we paid to store the luggage, we had to wait until 4 pm to check in. At 3, we messaged the accommodation to say we were already outside the place. After many messages, they finally replied that someone would come to let us in when we were outside. We said we were already there, but understood we'd still need to wait until check-in time. That was the last we heard. We stood outside through 4:30, 5, and 6 pm. They never answered again on Booking or WhatsApp, even though we'd booked and paid months in advance. Booking's customer service contacted the accommodation and gave them 45 minutes to reply. They never did. After paying extra to store our luggage all day, we had to find somewhere else to stay that night. At 8 pm, nearly 24 hours after our first message saying we were in Sorrento, they finally sent me a WhatsApp asking, "where are you?" This was the worst experience of my life. We lost a whole day of our dream trip and it became a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and don't book here.
