Il Palazzetto

Ilaria made a real difference during our four days here. She took great care of us and went out of her way to help whenever we needed it. The place itself was clean and comfortable, with good WiFi and some lovely period details. We were also glad to be so close to the town centre, and the train station was about an eight-minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend staying here in beautiful Sorrento.

The property was a letdown. The rooms and facilities looked old and poorly cared for, and the online photos seemed edited to show something quite different from what we found. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting the place to look as it does in the pictures.

Federica was lovely when we checked in on time, and handled a small room issue really well, even though it was something she couldn’t have anticipated or controlled. We also enjoyed the huge, very comfortable bed, and the room was cleaned well. Right in the city centre, "Il Palazzetto" is close to the station, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. Guests can use the free coffee machine and a small fridge for food. A kettle would be handy for anyone who doesn’t drink coffee :). I’d stay again next time I’m in Sorrento. Grazie e a presto!

Sergio made us feel at home and shared tips on where to eat without running into tourist crowds. We were happy with the breakfast at a nearby hotel, with plenty to choose from and delicious coffee. Our tidy, very clean room at Il Palazzetto had a little fridge, welcome drinks, and a gift from the host. Guests can also use a small espresso machine. The bed was comfortable after a day of sightseeing. We spent two days here before exploring the Amalfi Coast, and the historic centre location worked well for us: Marina Grande and the train station were both within walking distance, which mattered since we had no car and used public transport.
