The family-run service felt warm as well as efficient, and when the bathroom lights stopped working one morning, reception had them fixed that day. Breakfast was quite extensive by Italian standards, with delicious coffee, and the price-quality ratio seemed good. We stayed with friends over Easter. The hotel sits high on a mountain or cliff, so it may be tricky for people with limited mobility, though a shuttle can be arranged. The area is green and quiet, with no traffic or city noise. There's a walking path into the center, so ask reception about it. The town center and small harbor are each about a 15-minute walk away. The outdoor bar and pool are beautiful, with a great view. The place was clean and well maintained, and our room was lovely and efficiently laid out. Beds were made daily and refreshed when needed. I'd recommend it if you'd like to be away from the bustle of the city.

Marissa-Lucia and Don Riccardo made our stay especially memorable. They were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making guests feel welcome. Hotel La Badia itself was comfortable, clean, and well kept, with a peaceful, authentic atmosphere and lovely surroundings that capture Sorrento's charm. For a relaxing Italian stay, I'd recommend it. And make time for Verdemare while you're there, it's well worth a visit and rounded out the experience for us.

From start to finish, we felt well looked after by the lovely staff, and the hotel stayed spotless. My partner and I especially loved the room's view across Sorrento toward Capri, the Bay of Naples, and Mount Vesuvius. We even spotted dolphins in the sea. La Badia was peaceful but still a short walk from town, just right for us. We'd happily recommend it. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Carmine, the bartender, deserves a special mention. He was attentive and took great care of us, as did the friendly, helpful staff in general. We enjoyed the gardens and views from the hotel's position above Sorrento, away from the busy streets. The building and interiors were elegant, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. I might suggest a wider breakfast selection, but we had a wonderful stay.

My favorite spot was relaxing in the hammocks beneath the olive trees. The family is really nice, and it’s clear they look after their employees. We had great food, helpful staff, and a perfect central location where we could unwind and eat well. Couldn't have asked for a better stay, and I'd recommend it.
