The view from Maison la Minervetta is incredible, perched on the cliff above Sorrento and the water. Everyone was attentive and cheerful from the moment we pulled into the driveway, and they were always ready to answer our questions. Breakfast was included, with home-cooked dishes each day and a great spread of breads and pastries, all with that view. Sorrento makes a great base for Capri and the Amalfi coast, and this is a perfect place to stay.

One thing to watch: the hotel's ride to the marina cost 35 euros for a 15-minute drive. If you walk down to marina grande, ask reception for the gate key so you can get back up. There are plenty of nice things here too. It's a well-kept little boutique hotel, with a spacious, clean room and facilities, interesting art in the main area, and lovely views. The pool and outdoor space were beautiful. Breakfast was great, and you can ask the kitchen staff to make eggs fresh to order. The bar stays open 24 hours. Breakfast is complimentary from 730 to 1130, lunch runs from 130 to 4pm at 30 euro per person, and the complimentary aperitif is from 530 to 9pm. A unique, well-maintained place.

We had two rooms for our family, two young teenagers and two adults, and the hotel really made the trip. The grounds, rooms, and art are all amazing. It's easy to walk to town or down to the bay, where we spent a fun morning at the beach. The photos online aren't just good photography, the place really is that beautiful and full of character. The staff are lovely too. Wish we could've stayed longer.

The quiet plunge pool, views from the room, and gorgeous dining patio were highlights of our stay at Maison La Minervetta. It's a charming place, about a ten-minute walk from busy Sorrento, with stairs leading straight down to the port. The food was okay, though not especially good, particularly at dinner. Even so, we had a great visit and highly recommend it.

We were there at the end of the season, so it was pretty quiet, which we liked. The place was clean and tidy, with a great atmosphere, incredible views, and really friendly, helpful staff. The simple food was done well. Just a couple of small issues, the USB port in our room didn't work.
