Sorrento Town Suites

The room I had was huge, on the ground floor by reception, and the air conditioning worked really well. The rooms were very clean, though basic. The manager was friendly. Be sure to email or call her with your arrival time, as there isn't a 24-hour reception. The location is good, right by Piazza Tasso, and the alley keeps most street noise down. What bothered me was having no view out of the room. The window started about 10ft up the wall and could only be opened with an electric button, since it was out of reach. That left me feeling isolated. I was out sightseeing every day, so it didn't matter much then, but it would have been a real problem if I'd gone back in the afternoons for a siesta. Once the door was shut, I felt locked in.

It suited us perfectly. We had a comfortable room, a great shower, and very good housekeeping. There was also a two-burner cooker with pans, cutlery, and the basics for eating in. A supermarket was a 10-minute walk away, and cereal and milk were left in the room each day, along with a few tea bags and some coffee. Shops, restaurants, coffee bars, and fast food are all close by. The station is 10 minutes away, one block past the supermarket, and has good connections to Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Naples. We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back.

The place was super clean, and the staff were amazing. They made us feel like they really cared about us.

You’re right in the middle of town here, which makes the location wonderful.
