Surriento Suites

Pamela is what makes Surriento Suites so special. She sat with us when we arrived and shared great ideas for exploring the Amalfi Coast, then answered our messages quickly whenever we had questions. Each day she brought homemade baked goods and stocked the suite with an amazing range of high quality food and drinks. There was nothing else we needed. Veronica also deserves a mention for keeping our room spotless every day. The location is great for exploring the coast, with a short walk to the ferry, bus, taxi or parking garage if you’re driving. We’d read lots of reviews and came with high expectations, but the stay exceeded them. Out of all the places to stay in Sorrento or along the Amalfi Coast, we can’t imagine a more unique experience. It was a privilege to stay at Surriento Suites, the highlight of our Italy trip, and we hope to return soon.

Pamela made us feel so welcome. She kept the room full of Italian snacks, olives, cheese, cold cuts, bread, yogurt, waffles, pancakes and cookies, replacing things right away whenever we needed more. Every morning she made a fresh cake, and each one was delicious. She’s a gem and the gold standard for a hostess. We loved every minute of our stay, were sad to leave, and will be back. Thanks for everything, Pamela! The room is right by the beach and boats, and just a one minute walk from a secluded beach with calm warm water, a castle fortification in the background and boats on the other side. The ferries are only a few steps away, which made Capri and Positano easy to reach. Sorrento town is up a lot of steps, but we walked them each day to burn off all the food. Simply the best, five stars.

Pamela went out of her way to make the stay memorable, from the city map and helpful advice for getting around to the umbrellas for the hot weather. She even had extra adapters and charges in the room. The toiletries, pillows and towels were amazing, and there was a first aid kit, disposable cutlery and cups, a kitchenette and good air conditioning. Fresh baked treats Pamela made herself were waiting each morning, along with an impressive breakfast and snack spread that included fruit from her garden. The B&B is right by the port and beach, which made it easy to explore, though it was a little hard to find. Pamela was waiting there to welcome us warmly. The rooms are huge, with two double beds. The bathroom is a flight of steps below. We had a fabulous stay in Sorrento and highly recommend it for a comfortable, memorable visit.

Pamela was a fantastic host. She met us at the harbor and carried my huge, heavy suitcase all the way to our room. Fresh baked goods appeared every day, and the kitchen was stocked more than generously. Best Airbnb ever. If there’s a best host award, she deserves it.
