Villa Galidia in Sorrento

Anna’s breakfasts were something we looked forward to every day, and she helped make the stay feel perfect. Villa Galidia was beautiful and worked really well for our three couples. We spent afternoons on the terrace watching the sunset, with views of Mt Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The old town is just steps away. This place was the highlight of our Italy trip.

The bay, Mount Vesuvius, and Naples looked breathtaking from the garden, especially at sunset. Villa Galidia is an easy walk from town, with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from, and the marina nearby. Adolfo showed us around when we arrived and checked in to see how things were going and whether we needed anything. Miss Anna made breakfast every day, with the wonderful smell of pastries warming in the oven, and kept the villa spotless. It’s also beautifully maintained. I can’t say enough about this place.

That private back garden looking out over the Mediterranean and Mt. Vesuvius was a real wow. Anna had a delicious breakfast ready each morning, and she cooked, cleaned, and made sure we had what we needed. I’d have been happy to bring her home! The villa was very clean, with comfortable bedding, and made a lovely home base for touring the area. My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We were traveling with friends, and it was comfortable for three couples, or four if needed.

We went in October, so the walk into town was fine. I can imagine the busy sidewalks making it harder in summer, though. The villa itself was spacious for our group of six, and the backyard was lovely for coffee in the morning or a late drink while looking over the city. Perched along the cliffs, it has views of the Marina, Capri, Napoli, and the coastline. Anna started every day with an amazing breakfast and was such a pleasant host that we didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend it for a trip with other couples. Our stay was simply amazing.
