Luisa was the friendliest host I've met across my stays in apartments and hotels around Europe. She was helpful and easy to coordinate with, accommodated our late arrival, and gave us lots of tips about local sights. She even treated us to a glass of champagne and messaged to check how we were doing during the trip. I visited the Amalfi Coast in April and stayed in Sorrento to avoid Amalfi's high prices. Villa Marylise offered lovely views, especially from the balcony, where having my morning coffee became an unforgettable experience. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and hygienic, and the kitchen had the basic utensils. It was good value compared with other places nearby. There's also a terrace for sunbathing and showers. A bus stop is right outside the villa, though having a car would be more convenient. You can park on the road in front.

The balcony was the best part, comfortable and with an amazing view that made waking up enjoyable. The reservation included a washing machine, but it was broken and looked as if it had been that way for a long time. We needed to do laundry for a baby and a child, yet the hosts didn't offer to let us use the machine in their apartment downstairs. On arrival day, the hostess seemed stressed about our arrival time throughout the day, although the reservation said we could have the room until 6:00 p.m. We also needed the convertible bed, but opening the sofa bed in the living room-kitchen made the space very crowded. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who needs to use the sofa bed.

A beautiful setting in Sorrento, and just as quiet and relaxing as you'd hope. The view is amazing, and there's a bus stop right outside for Sorrento and Positano. The homeowner gave us tremendous personal service. I can't recommend this place enough.

Waking up to that view at Villa Marylise was amazing. The place was clean and modern, and we just want to say a big thank you for such a lovely stay.

Those stairs make hauling luggage a bit of a job, but that was my only complaint. It’s a charming villa with spectacular views and a great base for exploring the whole Amalfi Coast.
