Hotel Zi Teresa

We stayed for 10 days and found it a pleasant, smoothly run little hotel. Our basic room, 307, looked over the pool and garden and was spotless, with plenty of hot water and easy-to-adjust air conditioning. Breakfast was fine, and we especially liked the croissants. The rooftop terrace was a lovely spot for an evening drink and sunsets over the bay. The main downside was noise from the popular restaurant opposite and the main road. It's a busy town, though, and ear plugs helped. The location was handy, about a 10 minute walk to the main square and harbour, and near the train station and lots of restaurants and bars. Staff were professional and helpful. We chose this small hotel and had no complaints.

We loved our stay and would 100% come back. The staff were lovely, especially the daytime barman, who went above and beyond. The breakfast team were so gorgeous too. Breakfast was fine, with boiled and scrambled eggs, toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, and fresh omelettes you could order. Our 10 year old son was adored, and we met some fabulous people. The pool was a perfect temperature in 30 degree heat, not freezing at all. Rooms were cleaned daily and had fresh towels. Air conditioning worked fine for us. You do have to leave the key at the hotel, which cuts the electricity if you're charging anything while you're out, but that wasn't a problem for us. If you need the bell rung a couple of times, be patient. Thank you x

This got worse the more I learned. I lost an item elsewhere, and it was recovered and sent by courier to this hotel. It arrived with a 15 Euro delivery charge, which the front desk refused to pay even though they knew I was due to arrive in a few hours. They tried blaming the local post office. Then they told me they'd contacted the courier and my backpack would be delivered to my next hotel. I don't have a next hotel, I'm going home after here, and I never said there was another hotel to send it to. Dishonest and deceitful. I'm not pleased with the front desk. I said I'd amend this review if they managed to get the item redelivered.

The pool is very small, so keep that in mind if swimming is part of your plans. Apart from that, we had a very good stay at Hotel Zi Teresa, which was comfortable, welcoming, and well placed for walking into Sorrento. Our room was cleaned every day and stayed spotless. The breakfast staff were awesome, even making fresh fried eggs when we asked. A great value place to stop while exploring Sorrento.
