agriturismo tres montes

We came to love this peaceful place, a good starting point for seeing a more authentic side of Sardinia, away from the usual tourist villages and residences. Stefano and his father Roberto made us feel exceptionally welcome and were always on hand if we needed anything. They provided fruit, and every evening after dinner there was a round of myrtle and filo e ferru tea. We stayed in one of the wooden bungalows. It was pretty basic, but had what we needed, including a small outdoor kitchen. There are also apartments. Don't count on air conditioning, though it wasn't necessary for us. Some nights we even slept under a blanket. Figs were growing right outside our door, and we could pick some whenever we wanted.

It was incredibly restful staying with Stefano and his father for 11 days. The place is simple, but I found that lovely, it made me appreciate the little things. The owners are so kind and always there when you need them. We'll definitely return. By car, the sea is 10 minutes away, and some of the nicer beaches take about 20 minutes.

That handmade myrtle liqueur was excellent. The bungalow sits out in the countryside, with a little veranda among olive, myrtle, and fig trees, so it's a quiet, relaxing spot. It's also well placed for exploring northwestern Sardinia.

Stefano gave us a really warm welcome and helped with everything we needed, even sorting out a problem with our departure. We had a great first stay at this agriturismo and would happily come back if we get the chance. Our little wooden cabin got very hot during the day, which was its one drawback, but we were out exploring then and didn't mind too much. Even with nearly 38 degrees Celsius outside, we slept well at night. The location worked well for us since we like visiting different places: Marina di Sorso is 10 minutes away and has a beautiful beach, while Castelsardo and Porto Torres are about 20 minutes away. There are some interesting places to eat nearby.
