The castle and its large garden are gorgeous, and there’s a swimming pool too. The reception team were great about helping us change rooms and dates, and they also suggested a wine tasting that turned out to be perfect.

You’ll need a car to get around, but we had no trouble exploring Tuscany, and Siena is quite close. We rented the whole place with eight couples several years back, when it was still a vacation rental. I loved it.

The Tuscan scenery around the castle is stunning. We had a lovely stay, and the building still feels true to its original character.

The view was a treat for the eyes and the soul. We finished the visit with a delicious lunch at DonatoeDonata, a lovely way to end the day.
