4/10
The building is beautiful and right in the middle of the old center. That's about where the good news ends. The rooms are clean, but feel dated, and the thick walls make the internet reception almost nonexistent. The Wi-Fi is hardly better at 0.01 Mbit. There's just one outlet, across from the bed, so charging a phone is awkward. Most TV channels don't work either, though we'll be leaving at sunrise anyway because the curtains are broken. None of this would feel quite so bad if we hadn't paid over 100 euros for a stay that feels like the last century. Honestly, I'm a little worried about breakfast.

The terrace has nice views, though the plants are in poor shape, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The palazzo is lovely, with original features, and the location is great. The staff were very friendly, but the bathroom needs updating.

The fridge was heating rather than cooling, the room was tiny, and the furniture was damaged. The whole place is run down, and I can hardly believe the other reviews are genuine. Black mould covered our bathroom; its vent stopped working ages ago, and the owner can't be bothered to fix it. Breakfast was bland, with lots of packaged condiments.

A quaint little hotel right in the center of Spello. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

10/10
The breakfast spread was generous, with homemade Umbrian pastries and unusual jams, including fig, orange, and berry. The staff were courteous and very helpful, and there's free parking 50 meters from the hotel. It's an old, well-kept place in the heart of Spello, worth visiting just to see the frescoed room on the first floor. Some room amenities could do with an update. Have a nice stay!
