The setting and views are fantastic, and that’s the reason we might return. The resort feels stuck in the 70s and really needs updating. Rooms are tiny, and the bathroom smelled damp. That’s why it only gets two stars from us.

The villas sit among the trees on a lovely hillside, and the location is great. With a renovation, the whole place could feel like paradise. It has the potential to be a little gem.

The location is worth it, but the service was very poor. Both receptionists seemed to have an attitude, and they wouldn’t let us stay at the beach after checkout. The food was overpriced.

We had dinner listening to the waves and background music, with a lovely view of Sperlonga. In the evening the restaurant felt romantic and quiet for its clientele, and the setting overlooking the beach and sea is excellent. We enjoyed the fresh octopus and caprese salads, and the seafood risotto and linguine with Piennolo tomatoes and white pasta with mussels were delicious. I’d asked for the menu tartare, but salmon and tuna weren’t available, so I chose red shrimp instead. I wasn’t very impressed with the shrimp’s quality or the plating, and the side salad didn’t suit me because I felt it brought out the shrimp’s flavor. The wine list is limited, though there is a selection, and the lemon dessert from a Formia pastry shop was excellent. Prices are average. The building has been in business for 30 years and the location is stunning, but parts of the restaurant feel dated, especially the floors, furnishings, and lighting. Some renovation could make it more inviting and improve guests’ experience. I hope the owners invest in that.
