Mille Grazie, thank you so much for such a lovely stay. Everyone was kind and spoke English really well. I was hiking from Rome to Assisi on the camino francesco, and after the cold and long days my body needed a rest, so I stopped at the Hotel and SPA. It was a great choice. Marina gave me one of the best antistress massages I’ve ever had. The restaurant was closed, so I didn’t get to try it, but breakfast was delicious. The receptionist was welcoming and caring. Thanks again, I made it safely to Foligno.

The room was cozy and the service good, and the scenery is beautiful. I’m giving it three stars because a few things got in the way of making the stay memorable. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I expected, with spider webs, and some of the bathroom accessories were completely run down.

The rooms we booked had very old, poorly maintained furniture, and the place felt abandoned, even allowing for the fact that it was low season. The facility itself is great, easy to get to, and spacious enough for different activities. My family, including our toddler, and some friends spent a weekend at IL BAIO Relais. We booked half board and had a nice dinner there, but this review is only about the hotel stay. From check-in to check-out, we didn’t get the experience you’d expect from a relais. When we mentioned the missing blankets, noises from somewhere, and the state of the restrooms, the service didn’t make it feel like a relais. It’s very expensive compared with similar places in the area, given the condition and service quality, rather than simply the price itself.
