The artwork on the property was pretty cool, and that's the only reason for the one star. The front desk woman was extremely rude about two vehicles being parked in an almost empty lot. Two cars for three booked rooms seems like a ridiculous thing to complain about, especially when she said it to another staff member without realizing the guest spoke Italian. I grew up in Spoleto and expected better. The rooms were cold, the blankets itchy, and the towels a little damp and smelled musty. I ended up going to my aunt's nearby to shower. The place was also a long drive from the borgo and other attractions, which made the location inconvenient. Save yourself the headache and book at albornoz in town.

The rooms were clean, and getting here from SS Flaminia was easy. Spoleto's historic center is about a 30-minute walk along a road that isn't very busy. The restaurant serves decent food for the price.

We stayed one night on a road trip at this recently renovated hotel, about a five-minute drive from the city gate. Parking was free, the wifi was good, and the staff were really friendly. The rooms were clean and had the basics. Local artists painted murals and text on the walls in the halls, stairways, and rooms, and there were art books in the lobby. Breakfast was the usual Italian hotel spread of pastries and other packaged, sugary, carb-heavy food, which was the one drawback.

Dinner here was awful. The prices were too high, the pasta was overcooked, and the porchetta came out cold. Disgusting.
