That garden terrace with its beautiful ocean views quickly became our favorite place to relax. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and helpful from the minute we arrived at Park Hotel Asinara. They also provided beach mats for free, so we didn’t need to pack our own. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with amazing variety and quality that set us up perfectly for a day of exploring. We highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, enjoyable stay in Stintino!

The breakfast was phenomenal, with loads of choice. Make sure you try the Chambella, the donut. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and there’s a great bar for cappuccinos, coffee, or other drinks. The hotel is very close to the famous La Posa Beach, and there’s a shuttle running in the morning and afternoon, so getting there is easy. Rooms are very clean, with good mattresses and solid memory foam pillows. My only gripe was that the air conditioning felt a little weak.

The room looked attractive, with nice linens and comfortable bedding, and a large picture window gave us a pleasant sea view. The gardens were beautifully kept, there was a big shared terrace to lounge on, and most of the staff were pleasant. We chose room 208 after being shown a couple of options, because it looked nice and offered more privacy. There was an unpleasant smell as soon as we entered. We thought it might just need airing out, but even with the windows open all day, the odor was very noticeable when we came back late that evening. It seemed to come from the bathroom, so shutting that door let us get some sleep. We noticed the same smell outside, near our part of the building. We suspect there may be a sewage problem that needs attention, and it’s hard to imagine management didn’t know. This room shouldn’t have been offered to guests. We left early the next morning, and after an unpleasant exchange with the receptionist on duty, we didn’t raise the smell that night. We’d been told a breakfast bag would be left at reception for us to collect the evening before our early departure. When we returned from dinner, nobody was at the desk, but there was a bag behind it with our room number clearly marked. I picked it up, and the receptionist came back as I was leaving and severely scolded me for doing so. Guests shouldn’t be spoken to that way. The receptionist could use customer service training.

Breakfast comes with sea views, and there’s a tasty selection of baked goods, fresh croissants, and fruit. Be ready to share the space with bees, though. As in other hotels, there are lots of them around at breakfast. The service was very nice, and there’s a free shuttle to the famous La Pelosa beach. The hotel is a little dated and the rooms could use some updating, but for the price it’s a great choice. The grounds aren’t large, and the center is about a 10-minute walk away.
