Hotel Park Venezia

We came as a group, and the rooms were a real gamble. At least four couples had to switch rooms when we arrived, and nobody was happy with the rooms' condition or cleanliness. We kept having to ask for things that were missing. One good thing was that they accommodated my gluten-free needs. Not a good choice for a tourist visit.

The breakfast was nowhere near what the listing suggests: just a few pieces of cheese, cheap salami, and a few cups of milk and juice. The hygiene also seemed questionable. Our heating was shut off in the middle of the night because, they said, we would be leaving early and coming back late the next day. The accommodation was poor, the location remote, and the staff extremely unfriendly, even rude. They also tried to tell us they had started a screed that had already been applied earlier. The description calls this a three-star hotel, which is far from the truth. I wonder how the place is still in business.

The maids were exceptionally kind, and we were fortunate to get a tidy, clean room on the ground floor. The old furniture has some charm, but the bed was thin and awful. Even though it was January, they switched the heating off in the morning as policy. People also came and went without being checked.

There were bugs in one of the rooms, and the internet didn't work. The rooms themselves weren't too bad, but the bathroom was terrible: the shower had no water at all, so we couldn't wash properly, and there was no hot water either. Breakfast offered very little choice, and several of us couldn't eat anything. The servers were arrogant and unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
