Stresa itself is fantastic, a feast for the eyes. The hotel is a little harder to rate for location, though, since most things to do are on the south side and there's no footpath on the road to the station. The rooms are old-fashioned, but it works and they don't look dated. They're clean, well kept, and serviced daily. The reception even stayed open for our late arrival after a train delay made us miss the last connecting train. Service has been top notch so far. Breakfast is a dream, with a good selection and great quality.

A quiet street, but still near both the railway station and the centre of Stresa. The hotel is clean and cozy, with comfortable rooms. Staff are really kind, friendly, and helpful, and there is private parking for guests. A perfect pick if you're looking for a relaxing holiday in a spectacular, breathtaking area.

The one thing I had trouble with was the Wi-Fi. I couldn't get a smooth connection from my room. Otherwise, thank you so much for a hospitable stay. I booked a single room but was allowed to check in a little early, and they upgraded me to a bigger room for free. Breakfast is Italian style, with more than enough choice for a two-star hotel. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find around seven or eight kinds of fruit. The location is quiet and practical, not far from the station or the lakeshore. It's a bit farther from the city centre, but still very walkable, with lovely lake views.

The parking lot was a little small, but we had a very good time at the hotel and in Stresa. It took us about seven minutes to walk to Lago Maggiore. Our room was nice and very clean, and it had air conditioning.
