We had a bottle of water and a bottle of wine with dinner, and the bill came to 99.5 Euro. The three-course set meal with dessert was very good, one fish and one beef, and the presentation was even better. Service was impeccable. There’s also an alacarte menu with plenty of choice. The setting made for a really relaxing meal, with open-air dining and no bugs at all. It’s about a 25-minute uphill walk from the boat landing. We booked for 7:30, and the best seats were taken by 7:45 PM. Street lights cover roughly the first 75% of the walk. We brought an LED torch for the way back to the Sulzano dock, just in case.

The pool was amazing, and the hotel has a gorgeous view, a great bar, free parking, late check-in, and decent rooms. Still, I came away with very mixed feelings. Apart from one person, nobody spoke English, and there was no Wi-Fi. Although Booking says there is no curfew, we were locked out in the evening. Staff were not very friendly. We even needed the owner's special permission to use the pool, and couldn't understand him because he spoke no English. On checkout day, our room was cleaned and left open to a shared balcony. The stunning view and the relaxing pool at "Giardino MariLago" make this a beautiful place to stay at Lago d'Iseo. "Locanda La Pernice" is run by a very nice family. Don't miss it when you're visiting Lago d'Iseo!

We've returned many times and love this place. The lake view is beautiful, the food is good, and it's very good value for money. The maitre is professional, and we enjoyed several wines served in the right glasses, followed by a good selection of grappa.
