What made the stay for us was the hospitality from Giuseppe, his wife, and their daughter Enrica. They really made us feel at home. We stayed five days and were more than happy with everything: the rooms were spotless, thoughtfully detailed, and had every comfort, with a peaceful outdoor area to unwind in. The location made getting around easy, about 10 minutes to Lecce and 20-25 minutes to the coast. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with local foods and fresh fruit each morning. Highly recommended, and we'll be back.

Enrica is the heart of Il Grillo Parlante. She keeps everything spotless and fresh, and breakfast was a treat every morning, with lots of fruit and pastries plus her homemade focaccias and cakes. The garden is gorgeous and a lovely place to relax, with parking and a convenient base for the main towns in Salento. Enrica, her father, and her brother Mauro were all so kind and happy to answer our questions. Staying here felt like stepping into the fairy tale of Pinocchio. Even one night is enough to see their warmth.

I've come back for the third year, which says a lot. It's a beautiful spot and well placed for getting around Salento. Enrica and Mauro, the owners, are always on hand for guests, and their warmth, friendliness, and kindness really stand out. The service is excellent, and breakfast is generous with thoughtful details.

We felt completely at home at Il Grillo Parlante, and had no problems at all. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean and smell lovely, and it’s just right if you want a little peaceful hideaway. Enrica is so kind and helpful, and she puts together hearty breakfasts. My boyfriend and I had a great time and will definitely come back. I highly recommend it. Giovanna and Andrea
