B&B Residenza del Sole

For €60, I think there are much better places to stay, so I wouldn’t recommend it. We were there for one night. Being close to Lecce was convenient, but the room was in a basement and the hostess gave us no information. The breakfast that had been advertised wasn’t served.

We felt at home during our two days at "RESIDENZA DEL SOLE" in SURBO. Mrs. Anna Zecca and her husband, Mr. Angelo Riezzo, looked after us so generously, and we loved the homemade cakes and excellent jams. It was lovely getting to know the B&B owners over a chat and feeling closer as we shared a little of each other’s worlds. Thank you to the Riezzo family for such a warm, gracious welcome. The owners were such kind, welcoming people, always there if we needed anything. Our room was cozy and spotless, and the property itself felt very welcoming. I stayed for three nights, and the location worked really well for exploring by car. Lecce is only minutes away, the Adriatic coast takes 15-20 minutes to reach, and the Ionian coast is about a 20-minute drive. Gallipoli and other lively destinations are easy to get to as well. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

What a lovely family. They’re cheerful, thoughtful, kind, and always willing to help. They know and love their area, and their tips were genuinely useful. Thank you for everything.
