The rescued race horses in the barn were our favorite. My daughter and I spent lots of time there with Luca and MariaAdelaide, who gave me riding lessons, and Luca took us out riding twice a day. Silva also deserves a shout out for looking after every need and answering a million questions. She arranged horseback riding, e-biking, and cooking classes, so our days were full of fun and excitement. We stayed in a private, quiet guest villa. The old Manor is beautiful, dates back to the 1600’s, and has been handed down in the same family for generations. The current owners, MariaAdelaide and her 85 year old mother, are fantastic and very involved with guests. We're Americans, and if you're after an authentic Italian experience away from the usual routes, this is the place!

The grounds include a lovely little chapel. Its outside looked a bit rough, but inside it was gorgeous. At breakfast we met more of the staff, and everyone was super friendly. Our Italian wasn't very good, but communication was no problem at all. Our room was large, with windows all around, and the view was breathtaking. We first wandered past the beautiful old buildings to reception, where a very sweet Irish lady greeted us. She'd apparently lived in the house for about 50 years and had lots of stories to tell. She was a wonderful presence in the villa. The place is beautiful, with lovely people and animals. We had a very relaxing 2 day trip.

Breakfast was tasty and generous, and the owners were super friendly. Our warm rooms had a rustic feel and lovely views across the green property. The beautifully restored old villa felt partly like a museum. It was a privilege to stay there and take in its atmosphere, almost like visiting old friends.

Maria and her mother, Luca, and their team put their hearts into their work, and we'd happily recommend staying here. There's a long history you can sense throughout the park and buildings. We'll definitely come back!

My wife, son, and I stayed at Ca'Zen for a few days this August. We loved the local food, the swimming pool, and all the nature around us. The place really has a soul. Several generations of the same family still live here and care for the property, chapel, stables, and farm in the heart of the Po Delta. It feels like an authentic aristocratic chateau run by its original owners, not a soulless corporate hotel. It's a charming base for exploring the natural wonders of the delta and the rich culture of nearby historic cities, including Ravenna, Venice, Verona, Padua, and Ferrara.
