Sa Prata Hotel & Resort

We loved our stay here. It’s peaceful, with stunning sea views, a nice pool and really friendly staff. Breakfast was good every day, with plenty of options, and our room was clean. The bungalows are set around the pool and garden, and we were lucky to have one right in front of the pool. It’s a relaxing place, with two beaches nearby, plus Shardana and a pizzeria within walking distance. A great base for exploring the east and north of the island by car.

We stayed for a holiday in mid-June 2023 while visiting North East Sardinia from the U.K. This lovely three-star hotel in Budoni is about a ten-minute drive from the beach and town centre, with parking right outside. The property has around a dozen cottages, some facing the main pool. Ours was spacious, comfortable and clean, with air conditioning. Francesca gave us a warm welcome and checked us in. Breakfast had a good variety and was lovely. Caterina looked after it both days, and was friendly, helpful and professional when recommending local places to visit. Check-out was quick. It’s a tranquil hotel up a hill, with a lovely pool, a good sea view and easy access to town and the beach. I recommend staying here.

We were glad we chose this hotel and would confidently recommend it. It sits in a very quiet area, about 1 km from the sea, and there are several restaurants nearby. The reception gave us a 10% discount for three restaurants that partner with the hotel. Our room was roomy and clean, with the necessary equipment. The towels were spotless, bathroom supplies were provided, and the bed linen was changed every three days. There were also two pool towels in the closet. Parking was free and there were plenty of spaces. Breakfast was brought to the table, with lots to choose from: prosciutto, pecorino, bacon, salami, omelette, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, butter, jam, Nutella, fruit salad, melon, three kinds of fresh juice, cakes, croissants, muffins, and a good selection of coffee. The staff were really friendly and ready to help with anything. You could ask reception for a beach umbrella. When we left, they kindly let us keep the room a few hours past the usual checkout time because there were no other bookings that day.

The room was roomy, the beds were comfortable, and everything was kept very clean. The air conditioning was so loud that we couldn't use it in the evening, but we could leave the window open. It's a quiet little place, not fancy, though the comfort is good for the price. Breakfast was filling, with fresh cut fruit, meat, cheese, pane carasau, yogurt, cereal, and toast. I appreciated having different kinds of milk. I would have preferred unsweetened Greek-style yogurt, but there was still a good range of food. They can make a cappuccino if you ask. The staff were incredibly helpful with local information, beach umbrellas to borrow, and late check-in. There's a pool at the hotel, and you can get to local beaches if you have a car. I think a car is really needed to visit Sardinia. Pedra Niedda around the corner is a terrific restaurant. A lovely, quiet spot that's kept very clean. It's not a flashy hotel, but for the price and comfort, it's great.
