B&B A'Coffa

Marco made everything easy, from checking in to answering questions on WhatsApp whenever we needed help. He asked when we’d arrive, greeted us, helped with our luggage, and shared a really useful list of city highlights and places to eat. Breakfast was included in the room rate and served in a small dining room. It was enough for us, and the coffee was very good. We stayed in a spacious Double Room (with Balcony), simply and practically decorated in a modern style. The bed was comfortable, the room was well cleaned, and the hot shower had good pressure and toiletries. Since our room faced a side street, we slept well despite being right on busy Corso Umberto. The property sits directly on Corso Umberto, in the pedestrian-only area, so you step outside into the middle of the Taormina buzz. We came by taxi from the bus station. When the taxi office learned we were going to Corso Umberto, they assigned a driver with a special “entry card” to pass the barrier and drop us outside the Church of St Catherine of Alexandria, about 200m from the B&B. That was a big help with our lots of luggage (3 weeks in Sicily!!) and elderly parents. For what we paid, we were very happy with the room and service. The great location is another bonus, and we’re glad to recommend this delightful place.

We spent 2 night here and had a really great stay. The owner was wonderful, replied quickly, answered all our questions, and suggested places to visit. They clearly care about their guests being happy. Our room was clean and spacious, and there was plenty of coffee in it. We were moved to a different room because something was wrong with the one we booked, and I really appreciated that they told us and handled it that way. The location is central, on a busy street, so it can be loud at night. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our confirmation for “A’Coffa Rooms and Breakfast” included breakfast, but there wasn’t any. The owner told us they had stopped including and serving it. I said that seemed like false advertising, especially with the photos on the direct website, but he didn’t seem to care. He did offer us 2 croissants the first morning as an apology, though I still felt misled. For the same rate, there are definitely nicer places that include breakfast.

Marco was such a welcoming, nice host, and the room was lovely, clean, and nicely decorated. It’s right in the center on Corso Umberto, too. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you!
