The rooftop pool was fantastic, and the breakfast had a good selection of ham, cheese, and lots of sweet cakes. A few things did run out, like tea bags and Nutella. The rooms were large, with stunning views over Etna and Taormina. It was expensive, and parking cost 10€/night; the minibar was extra too. At that price, I expected at least some free water in the room. The walk into town takes 10-15 minutes up a short but steep staircase. Reception spoke only limited English, though that wasn't an issue for us. Still, it's a fantastic place.

The views were great from the bedrooms, breakfast area, and outdoor pool. Breakfast was good, and the pool was good too. The king suite also has a nice Jacuzzi. But cleanliness was terrible. We were first given the Luxury suite with sea view, but it was so dirty that we had to move to the king suite. Why not just clean it? The Luxury room's hydromassage shower was broken and looked like it had been that way for most of 10 years. WiFi was limited, with none by the pool and only limited service in the rooms. For the price, the service and cleanliness weren't worth it. We would have rated it higher if it had cost half as much.

The only good parts were the view of Taormina from the pool and the friendly employee who greeted us. The room itself was a disgrace: dusty, with shoe marks on the bedding, and a moldy bathroom. We were there with our baby, and the bathroom light didn't even have a wall sconce. I don't usually criticize rooms this way, but this was outrageous. The Booking.com photos make the place look like a dream, but the reality is far from it. It's a tourist trap, avoid it. The manager offered us a €20 discount per night but refused to cancel our stay.

The rooms were spacious and had a nice view, but they weren't really clean and breakfast was poor. Getting there from the center means climbing about 250 steps. Too expensive for what you get.
