Baia Azzurra Hotel

We stayed a week and could get everywhere we wanted using the bus stop right outside. The cable car is also right next door, and the views on it are amazing. We walked down the steps too, and that was really scenic. Hotel Baia Azzurra is in a great spot, with a few steps down to the beach, two mini markets next door, and a pizzeria across the street. The balcony had picture-perfect views over the bay of taormina mazzarò. Our room, 203, had everything we needed: tea and coffee facilities, a hair dryer, mini fridge, and small safe. The hotel was very clean and well looked after, thanks to the helpful, friendly staff. The cable car, bus stop, and steps to the town centre are right beside the hotel, making it easy to get into taormina town. We’d definitely stay at Baia Azzurra again.

The lifts into Taormina town are right beside the hotel and run until around 1 am if you want to stay out later. Otherwise, the area seems to get quiet between 11 pm and 30 pm. We had a lovely family holiday in this fantastic, clean hotel, with nothing fancy but wonderful staff who were polite, helpful, and welcoming. Our sea view room had a balcony with stunning views of the beach and surrounding area, plus air conditioning. It was perfectly adequate for our 10-day stay. Breakfast was delicious, and we went into town for dinner.

After seven nights here, I’d happily use the hotel again. It was faultless and great value, with very helpful, friendly staff. The fourth-floor balcony looked out to sea. It’s well placed for the beach, the cable car up to the main town, and the mini marts and local restaurants next door. Breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice and fresh food that was always topped up.

The cable cars beside the hotel take you up to Taormina town and run until about 1 am, which is handy if you want to stay out later. The area itself gets quiet around 11-30 at night. On the fifth floor there’s a usually quiet sun terrace with loungers. We had a lovely clean room with air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the sea, with stunning views of the beach and surrounding area. It was perfectly adequate for our 10-day stay. Breakfast was lovely, and the evening meals were reasonably priced for guests on bed and breakfast. The staff were polite, helpful, and very welcoming. My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this amazing hotel. No bells and whistles, just a lovely place in a beautiful setting.
